The name of the Association shall be the GREAT LANGBOROUGH RESIDENTS’ ASSOCIATION.
The objects of the Association shall be the:-
All residents of age 18 and above in and around the area roughly bordered by Denmark Street, Gipsy Lane, Southlands Road, Easthampstead Road and Peach Street can qualify for membership provided that:

Subscriptions shall be £2.00 per annum per household.
Subscriptions may be waived or varied by agreement of a majority of members at an Annual General Meeting.
The Association’s financial year shall end on March 31st.
An Annual General Meeting (AGM) shall be held each year to receive the Committee's report and financial statement, and to elect officers and members of the Committee.
Special General Meetings shall be held at the request of ten ordinary members.
Committee Meetings will be convened by the chairman on an as required basis.
Nominations for the election of Officers shall be made at or before the AGM.
Nominations may be in writing or delivered aurally at the AGM. They must be supported by a seconder. The consent of the proposed nominee must have been obtained before a vote is taken.
The Election of Officers shall be completed prior to the election of further Committee members.
The Officers of the Association shall consist of a chairman, honorary secretary, honorary treasurer and membership secretary. All officers shall relinquish their office every year and shall be eligible for re-election at the AGM.
The Committee shall consist of officers and not more than six further members.
The Committee shall have powers to co-opt members up to the maximum specified above.
Procedures for nominations of Committee members shall be as for the election of officers.
The Committee shall be responsible for running the affairs of the Association, and may take decisions on its behalf.
A quorum for Committee meetings shall consist of four members.
The Committee shall have power to make appeals, solicit donations and canvas monies for carrying out the objects of the Association.
The Treasurer shall, out of monies received by the Association, pay all proper expenses of administration and management of the Association. The Committee shall authorise the use the residue of such monies as it thinks fit for or towards the objects of the Association.
All monies at any time belonging to the Association and not required for immediate application towards its objects shall be invested by the Committee as it thinks fit.
The Constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority of members present at an annual or special general meeting, provided that ten days notice of the proposed amendment has been sent to all members. However, nothing contained in the amendment shall permit the expenditure of the Association's funds on any object which is not a charitable object of law.
